             Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture, Tashkent organizes regular events like dance and music programmes, art exhibitions, public lectures and symposia, Hindi and other Indian languages Seminars, quiz competitions etc. Details of events for the month can be obtained from the LBSCIC office.
                                                                                 
    Special Cultural Events
     
                Large-scale cultural programmes at public venues like State Conservatoire or National Drama Theatre are organized by Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture, Tashkent on important occasions like Indian Independence Day, Republic Day etc. Besides the staff and students of the Centre, local cultural groups and organizations are also involved in presenting these Cultural Programmes.
     
     Hindi and other Indian languages
     
                Hindi, the third largest spoken language in the world, and the national language of India, is one of the major foreign languages liked by the people of Uzbekistan.
                Besides running part-time courses in Hindi and organizing regular Hindi symposiums etc. at the Centre, the LBSCIC is also assisting and coordinating the teaching activities of ten educational institutions in Uzbekistan where Hindi is taught, by organizing meetings of teachers and students of Hindi, presenting study material, books & magazines etc.
               
    Implementation of official Cultural Exchange Programmes
     
                Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture, Tashkent on behalf of Indian Embassy coordinates all activities in connection with the implementation of Cultural Exchange Programmes between India and Uzbekistan.
     
    Strengthening Indo-Uzbek Friendship and Understanding
     
                Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture, Tashkent interacts with all cultural, academic and other institutions in Uzbekistan, which work for strengthening friendship and understanding between India and Uzbekistan. Besides, participating in its activities, the LBSCIC also organizes public lectures and events in collaboration with the Uzbekistan India Friendship Society, Tashkent.
      
     

                Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture, Tashkent also encourages local Universities and socio-cultural organizations in evolving Indo-Uzbek Students Clubs, India Clubs etc. by making presentation of books, magazines, publicity material, musical instruments etc. Such India Centres are presently active at the Uzbekistan State Conservatoire, University of World Languages, Shastri School Museum etc.
